Introducing our new Supervisor: Adele Irish: Adele brings with her a passion for children’s development and over 30 years of childcare experience…. in her own words…
My name is Adele Irish. From my earliest recollection, I always dreamed of being a teacher. That dream came true in 1985. Since then I have had the awesome opportunity to pour into the lives of young children.I have a passion for facilitating learning experiences for preschoolers. I started out as a front line staff working with all ages groups in a variety of settings, an integrated Montessori/ECE setting, in public school and preschool setting and also in a seniors home. All were rich, rewarding experiences.I gained over 16 years experience working as a Supervisor/Director. My most recent positions were, Private home visitor for a home-based Child care agency and working for the Ministry of Education as a bilingual Program Advisor, licensing daycares, before and after school programs across the GTA.Over the years I developed my personal philosophy regarding helping children reach their highest potential; I have concluded that when nurturing children it is of utmost importance to cater to all needs of the children which includes development in all areas, fine motor, gross motor, cognitive,social, physical, creative and most of all spiritual.This is why I am truly humbled to have been granted the awesome opportunity to join the staff, children and families at New Steps. I look forward to working with the children, their families and the staff.
