We are a multiculturally diverse and inclusive centre where engaging daily learning opportunities for children to grow and expand their capabilities, curiosity and potential are provided through the four foundations of early learning New Steps Childcare embodies these directives and implements them directly into our daily routine.
We are pretty unique: we offer INFANT CARE!
This allows for New Steps to design and provide SEEMLESS quality care for your children from 3 months – 5 years and beyond. Your child (ren) benefit as they experience each “new step” of preschool in one secure, nurturing, caring environment. Proudly providing quality referral based childcare since 1978; New Steps Childcare Centre is a licensed non-profit Christian based centre.
Our facility:
New Steps Childcare Center is a climate-controlled intentionally built childcare facility that features large, colourful rooms filled to overflowing with books, educational materials, toys, activity centres, comfy cushions. Each classroom has been specifically designed for the age group represented.
Plus our outdoor play area offers engaging, challenging playground equipment with a soft surface area for exploring with a cushion landing!
WELLBEING
Safety, Health, Self
New Steps is a Safe and Secure environment for kids to grow and be cared for.
At New Steps, you can rest assured your children will spend a wonder filled day playing, exploring, and learning within a safe, supervised environment. For peace of mind a security system is utilized and maintained where only parents and qualified caregivers are supplied with key card access to our centre. In addition to our own high standards, all of our facilities meet or exceed the strict guidelines set by the Ministry of Education, Child Care Quality Assurance and Licensing Unit and we are regularly inspected by the Health Department, Fire Department. We are diligent in maintaining strict adherence to the required Codes.
Healthy meals and snacks
Children do love the delicious hot lunches and snacks we serve everyday, all prepared with good nutrition in mind and catered to us by:
in accordance with the Canada Food Guidelines. We provide morning and afternoon healthy snacks, overseen by dieticians and nutritionists to ensure optimal nutritional content. If your child has special dietary needs, we will strive to work with you to accommodate those needs.
